Takedown Policy
At ColoringJoy, creativity is our heart and originality is our rule.
We design coloring pages and creative content to inspire joy, not to copy anyone’s work. But sometimes, mistakes can happen. If you see something on our site that you believe uses your work without permission, this policy explains how to let us know and what happens next. Together, we can keep ColoringJoy a safe and respectful space for artists, creators, and coloring fans everywhere.
1. What We Mean by Key Terms
- “Business Day” – Any day when banks are open and crayons are flying (a.k.a., not weekends or public holidays).
- “Infringing Material” – Any artwork, image, or content on ColoringJoy that someone claims steps on their intellectual property rights.
- “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” – This covers things like copyrights, trademarks, designs, names, logos, database rights, and all creative rights—registered or not—anywhere in the world.
- “Notification” – A message you send us saying, “Hey, I think this content isn’t authorized.”
2. Our Promise
- We create and share coloring pages to spark creativity, not to copy anyone’s hard work.
- Even with our best efforts, mistakes can happen. If you spot something that doesn’t seem right, we want to hear from you.
- We’ll review and, if needed, remove or disable content quickly and fairly.
3. How to Request a Takedown
Send an email to [email protected] including:
- The exact content you believe is infringing (a URL or screenshot helps).
- Why you believe it infringes your rights.
- Proof that you own the content or have permission to act on behalf of the owner.
- Your name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you genuinely believe the use is unauthorized by you, your agent, or the law.
- A statement confirming, under penalty of perjury, that your claim is accurate and you are authorized to make it.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
4. What Happens Next
- We’ll acknowledge your notice within 7 business days.
- If the complaint checks out, we’ll temporarily remove or restrict access to the content while we investigate.
- If a third party provided the content, we may contact them for clarification.
5. If You Think We Made a Mistake
Send an email to [email protected] including:
- The content we removed and where it was before.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the removal was an error or misidentification.
- Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email.
If it meets legal requirements, we may restore the content unless the original complainant files legal action to keep it offline.
6. Resolving Things Peacefully
Possible outcomes include:
- Content stays up (no violation found).
- Content is edited to remove the problem area.
- Content is taken down permanently.
- A licensing or usage agreement is reached.
If a dispute heads to court, the content stays offline until the matter is resolved.
7. Policy Updates
- We may revise this policy as needed (just like updating a coloring book with fresh pages).
- Check back once in a while to stay up to date.
